Handmade Soap
Handmade Soaps are my current passion and small business. I love the creativity that goes into each batch of soap that I make. Even better, I love the fact that everything is made by hand and far surpasses any commercial soap purchased in the grocery store. For years, I avoided purchasing bars of soap in the stores because of the way it made my skin feel. After using them, my skin felt dry, itchy and flaky. I switched to some commercially made liquid soaps, but they weren't any better. I was constantly slathering amazing amounts of lotion to counteract the dryness. I am also a writer in my spare time, nothing published mind you, but enjoy writing just the same. I had written a novel that contained a character that made handmade soaps to survive a civil war in Latin America. The character was eventually cut from the book, but it was hard for me because I really loved that character. I really didn't know much about making soap at the time. Actually, I didn't know anything at all, but began to research how to make soap. As a result, I found a new passion and have emulated my character that I cherished.
